It's a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him -- and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him -- sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day FAQs

  • What is Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the fourth film featuring Tom Holland as Spider-Man, and the last Marvel Cinematic Universe release before Avengers: Doomsday (2026).

  • When does the story take place?

The film takes place four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, after the whole world has forgotten who Peter Parker is because of Dr. Strange’s spell.

  • Who are the main characters?

    PETER PARKER / SPIDER-MAN

After sacrificing his relationships with MJ and Ned to save the world, Peter Parker has thrown himself into being Spider-Man full-time. Still scrappy, broke, charming and funny, Peter is nevertheless being reshaped by loss and isolation, even as his already extraordinary senses

begin to evolve. His greatest challenge may be holding on to the Peter Parker side of his life as being Spider-Man consumes more and more of his time. Ultimately, his journey forces him to confront the limits of going it alone, discovering that responsibility also includes taking care

    of himself.

     MICHELLE “MJ” JONES-WATSON
Now an MIT graduate building an adult life in New York, MJ has returned to the city as a more independent, mature young woman. She has no memory of Peter Parker or the life they once shared, but circumstances bring her back into Spider-Man’s orbit and reinforce her suspicions that something in her life may be missing.

     NED LEEDS
Once Peter Parker’s inseparable best friend, Ned has spent the past four years at MIT alongside MJ, completely unaware of the friend he has forgotten. Now graduated and back in New York, Ned is entering adulthood with MJ as the two prepare to share an apartment—the very future Peter once dreamed of sharing with them. Though he doesn’t remember Peter, Ned is determined to uncover the identity of Spider-Man and has even created his very own Spidey Tracker app to help track sightings.

    FRANK CASTLE / THE PUNISHER
Frank Castle is a battle-scarred, highly lethal vigilante, and expert soldier who has a brutal approach to justice. His uncompromising methods put him at odds with Spider-Man, but their hostility evolves into a volatile big brother–little brother relationship. This unique relationship makes Frank an unlikely ally and, perhaps, the closest thing Peter Parker has to a friend. Frank recognizes a part of himself in Peter and learns that strength doesn’t have to mean facing the world alone.

    JEAN GREY
A powerful young girl with extraordinary psychic abilities, Jean Grey arrives in New York searching for answers about the disappearance of her older sister, Sara. Jean uses her ability to transfer her consciousness into other people and can control their bodies. Initially appearing to be a dangerous new adversary for Spider-Man, Peter uncovers information that will dramatically shift his perspective of the situation.

    BRUCE BANNER / HULK

Former Avenger, Bruce Banner, has traded the superhero life for academia. Now a professor teaching quantum mechanics at Empire State University, Bruce Banner becomes an unlikely resource for Peter when Spider-Man begins experiencing a life-changing transformation. Their relationship takes a dangerous turn when Banner is compromised and loses control, unleashing the enormous rage-filled Savage Hulk. This Hulk is a towering, primal force, setting up a long-awaited clash between two of the most iconic heroes.

    WILLIAM METZGER
William “Bill” Metzger is the director of the Department of Damage Control, an organization whose mission is to keep the world safe by containing and maintaining dangerous technology and threats caused by superhuman individuals. Metzger is a charismatic leader, but also emerges as a hidden force of conflict, revealing that the greatest threats are the ones you never see coming.
